Peninsular Series is finally here.

This monthly dining series is a personal journey through Peninsular Malaysia, where each edition explores the home cooking of each state (there are 11 in total!).

We begin this journey where Selera's heart lives: Negeri Sembilan, her mother’s home state, also known as the Land of the Nine States. It felt only right to launch this series and her collaboration with Moustaqbel, in her honor. She is the woman who taught her everything she knows about cooking.

Her mother descends from the Minangkabau settlers of Sumatra, a culture renowned for its matriarchal system, where lineage, land, and legacy are passed through the female line. She is the queen featured in S E L E R A’s emblem, a woman who worked tirelessly throughout her life to create better opportunities for her children.
